Invitation to Innovation Now
Capturing the attention of key clients and prospects in a sea of more than 2,400 exhibitors was one of many critical objectives for GE Oil & Gas as they planned for the 2010 Offshore Technology Conference (OTC). With the expansion of its advanced technology portfolio for the deepwater drilling and production sector, GE Oil & Gas wanted to make a big splash at OTC, maximizing brand visibility, aligning their brand and showcasing their innovative products and services.
Much like GE’s heavy oil & gas equipment, it was a tall order but 2020 Exhibits dove right in, delivering not one but two – one 40’ x 100’ and one 40’ x 50’ -- innovative, technology-driven landmarks, which incorporated key brand elements and showcased GE’s extensive and integrated subsea portfolio of solutions.
Projecting a bold presence as GE Oil & Gas branding vehicle, the 2010 Offshore Technology Conference exhibits worked double duty, respecting the identity their key business units while forging a single, strong identity with key brand elements and touch points boldly incorporated throughout. From the show-stopping A/V, which included a two-sided 8-by-18 foot screen emblazoned with the dynamic GE Oil & Gas animated story, to the 6-foot-tall 3-D GE logos and INNOVATION NOW stretched like waves across the exhibit, the GE Oil & Gas name and message demanded attention far and wide across the show floor.
Full size GE Oil & Gas equipment – some as large as 25-feet-high, weighing over 100-thousand pounds or 50 tons – and models were strategically featured throughout, with the exhibit design maximizing all available space, reaching the skies, in an inviting footprint. From top to bottom, public to private, the booth worked double duty – incorporating a semi-private meeting room that served as command central for media interviews and one-on-one meetings for GE’s executives and clients. With a well appointed, comfortable dining cafe strategically and centrally placed within the design footprint, attendees were encouraged and invited to come further into the space to learn more.
Innovation took center stage for GE Oil & Gas at OTC 2010, showcasing their GE Oil & Gas brand and reinforcing its position and message as a world leader in advanced technology, equipment and services for all segments of the oil and gas industry.
